CGC training is a great way to up your dog's skills and are the skills most dog owners desire of their furry companions. The evaluation consists of ten test items to include: polite greetings, loose-leash walking, friendliness with strangers, walking past another dog calmly, cues such as sit, down, stay, and come, and lastly, calm or no reactions to stimuli such as movement, sounds, & separation.
CGC is also the first step many owners take if they are interested in doing therapy dog work.
*CGC training can sometimes help with some breed restrictions & insurance for your pet if he is recognized as a Canine Good Citizen.
